💫The strategies, approaches, and best practices have been rapidly shifting when it comes to teaching autistic children.

It can be hard to keep up and even more difficult to get these changes implemented in the classroom or therapy setting.

You care about making sure that your autistic students' social/emotional needs are met and you've probably already been seeking out training to help you do that. You are having conversations and discussions with your colleagues about these neuro-diversity affirming approaches, but aren't sure which professional development opportunities are truly geared to the preschool level.

Each time you discover a new strategy or resource you get super excited, but if you’re being really honest… it takes A LOT of work (many times outside of your contract hours) to implement new strategies and train your support staff how to use them.

You might find yourself….

✅ Annoyed that professional development never seems to apply directly to the early childhood level

✅ Overwhelmed with the new strategies that you want to implement, but aren't quite sure how to get everyone on the same page to put them into action in the classroom or therapy room

✅ Frustrated with the lack of consistency among your team

✅ Tired of trying to seek out new information about neuro-diversity affirming teaching strategies and then never putting them into place in the classroom or therapy room

✅ Stuck using some of the same old strategies and approaches that may be outdated

There has got to be a better way!

That's why I decided to put together the Preschool Autism Summit. It's about time that early childhood special education teachers, SLPs, and other related services at the preschool level are not left out of the picture! I'm so thrilled to bring together a group of amazing speakers who understand the unique challenges of teaching at the early childhood/preschool level.

The Preschool Autism Summit will give you the information and tools you need to kick off the new school year with a variety of neurodiversity-affirming strategies! In addition, there will be several sessions with practical ideas and activities that can be implemented in the classroom setting right away. You will also have the opportunity to learn more about utilizing AAC effectively as well as supporting each child's social and emotional needs.

This summit will equip you with actionable tools and insights to enhance your teaching practices, promote meaningful engagement with your autistic students, and empower every child to thrive. It will allow you to create a classroom that puts compassion over compliance, and utilize strength-based approaches.

BY THE END OF THE SUMMIT YOU WILL...

⭐️ Feel confident in your ability to understand what it means to be neurodiversity-affirming

⭐️ Have a better understanding of gestalt language processing, and how to meet the needs of your gestalt language processors in the classroom

⭐️ Provide your support staff/paraprofessionals with up-to-date strategies to support your autistic students at the early childhood level

⭐️ Build a classroom that places compassion over compliance and taps into each student's unique strengths and interests

⭐️ Get rid of any outdated teaching methods and replace them with more current ones

Hi, I’m Tara Phillips

I'm a speech/language pathologist who has worked with young autistic children for over 2 decades.

I founded Autism Little Learners in 2019 because it was difficult to find engaging resources for young autistic children.  I've always loved learning new and innovative ways to help autistic children and their families.

In my decade at the early childhood level, I found out quickly that school districts professional development opportunities very rarely pertained to the unique challenges we face at the preschool level. Relevant training for teachers and therapists working with autistic children at the preschool level was nonexistent. I decided that it is time to change this, and now I'm bringing everything I learned to you in this 4 day event!

Grab your free ticket and join me and 20+ other ND-affirming therapists and educators for a one-of-a-kind event that will help you be part of the solution to creating a more compassionate and empowering educational experience for all autistic preschoolers.

I can't wait to see you there! 💕

🚫 You don’t need another professional development training that is not at the right level for you. You don't need another training opportunity that is not relevant to the unique challenges you face at the preschool level. UGH...how many years have we dealt with that? Too many!

Good news! That is NOT what you’re going to find at this event. ❤️

🎉 The Preschool Autism Summit was specifically created for special educators, SLPs, and related service providers at the preschool level in the school setting.  This is because:

✅ You understand the challenges of serving a classroom full of students

✅ You’ve got a lot of great things going in your classroom, but want to add some new tools to your toolbelt

✅ You’ve already implemented some neuro-diversity affirming strategies, but want more!

✅ You want to get your entire team on the same page!

✅ You are ready to feel supported, rather than on an "island" by yourself

Instead of covering the same old outdated strategies, this summit is about helping you build on what you've already learned by focusing on new approaches. It will help you take what you learn and encourage you to take action and implement the new approaches with your students.

Through short, action-packed presentations from our experienced lineup of special educators, SLPs, OTs, and other professionals, you’ll say goodbye to outdated methods and embrace a new era of education where every child's unique strengths are celebrated and supported. Join us and be part of the solution to creating a more compassionate and empowering educational experience for all autistic preschoolers.
